Our clinic is the largest center in Prahova that deals with the control of myopia, especially progressive myopia (which occurs mainly in children and adolescents). We have at our disposal several techniques that allow us to stop the progression of myopia, namely:

  • Hard night lenses (Orthokeratology)
  • Miyosmart special lens glasses
  • Soft multifocal day lenses

Dr. Palii Olena Palii is our myopia control doctor with over 10 years of experience.

It would be advisable to contact us by phone and specify that you are interested in this type of treatment. You will get 2 appointments:

The first consultation will include:

  • a full consultation with Dr. Palii with cycloplegia (mandatory! – dilation drops);
  • discussing all the details of your treatment in detail with our doctor;
  • appointment for a second consultation.

Second consultation (usually between the 20th and 30th of the month) – when we collect all the children receiving hard lens treatment. Our little patient will go through:

  • corneal topography (a scan of the cornea to order a customized lens);
  • launch of the lens order.
    Order duration is about 2-3 weeks.

When your order arrives at the clinic, you will be contacted and your third visit will be scheduled for your lens lesson.

Roughly speaking, a full consultation involves 3 measurements that are taken before you enter the consultation room:

– Autorefractometry (determining diopters)

– Intraocular pressure (non-contact method)

– Measuring diopters in your glasses

In the office will be performed:

– Optical distance and near correction (where applicable)

– Prescription glasses prescription

– Biomicroscopic examination (anterior pole)

– Pupil dilation

– Fundus examination

For children and young adults (up to approx. 40 years of age), cycloplegia (instillation of dilating drops every 10 minutes 3 times and re-measurement of the diopters) will be performed.
